Refund Policy
Refunds can take up to three weeks to be processed
Automatic Refunds
• HomeWAV will automatically initiate a refund in the following scenarios:
• If the inmate has been released from a facility for at least 72 hour;
• If the facility has been decommissioned;
• If the visitor deletes the inmate;
• If the inmate deletes the visitor; or
• If 180 days of continuous inactivity have passed.
• Refunds may take up to three weeks to be received.
Refunds Requiring Manual Processing
• Users should contact customer support to initiate a manual refund in the following circumstances:
• If the users account is still active and the only payment on the account was made through PayNearMe cash; or
• Credit card transactions that were not automatically refunded after 72 hours of the inmates released or deletion from the HomeWAV software, or visitors being deleted.
Inmate General Funds
• HomeWAV will no longer be issuing checks to the inmates for Inmate General Funds. All refunds will go back to the original credit card transactions on a “Last in, first out “methodology.
• On rare occasions a check will be sent if cash is left on the account and the inmate fills out a refund request form.
• Refunds may take up to three weeks to be received.
